RVA usually slows way down in August as everyone makes their last dash to the beach or the mountains before school and other obligations get back into full swing. While Ellen and I will be in and out of town this month, we are hoping that our schedules will allow us to take in a few of these happenings.
Tickets Go On Sale – 4th Annual Fire, Flour & Fork
Richmond Jazz Festival
Carytown Watermelon Festival
Flower Pick and Picnic
Late Summer Lawn Party at Historic Bloemendaal
Enjoy these last lazy days of summer and, in the Comments box below, let us know what we may have missed!

p.s. Correction: Pat Summit’s quote from our post Tried and True Travel Tips from Our Gracious Readers should have read, It is what it is, but it will be what you make it.
Ellen sends apologies to aSw who submitted the quote and thanks her for alerting us to the mistake.
