Do whatever you have to do to clear your calendar and take in this tour.
Westover Hills, an eclectic and vibrant neighborhood, boasts one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Richmond across the James River. From every tour home along Riverside Drive, experience a vista the residents of Westover Hills enjoy daily. Homes along this spectacular curving roadway range in style from Tudors to capes, Colonial and Craftsman to Modern. One of Richmond’s longest established suburban enclaves, and an original streetcar neighborhood, Westover Hills is located directly south across the river from historic Maymont Park and the Carillon.
Just look at the view in this neighborhood.
Each of the homes on this tour has a bird’s eye view of the James River. I can’t believe that I have lived in Richmond for over 30 years and never seen this stretch of Riverside Drive. The neighborhood is experiencing a resurgence with loads of home renovations, and Historic Richmond is showcasing five examples of the variety of homes presiding over the Buttermilk Trail that runs along the river just below.

Ellen and I can’t wait to take in the river views and explore the homes in this Westover Hills neighborhood during Historic Garden Week. Will we see you there?
