Happy Fat Tuesday!
Usually on this day I contemplate what I will do for Lent? which starts tomorrow. Will I give up drinking wine and spirits? No. How about foregoing sweets? Nope. How about bread? Again, no. Although the discipline and sacrifice of those activities remind me of Jesus’ suffering, I want something more meaningful. True to our tagline,
we celebrate inspired living with a little help from our friends
I need look no further than my daughter mBf’s Lenten practice last year.
As you can see from her note, she took on the task to write one note every day to the people in her life to tell them how much they matter to her, how much she loves them, and how they’ve impacted her life. Nothing long or extravagant, just a simple heart-felt acknowledgement to 40 people.
Do you do something during Lent? Perhaps you’ll give this a try. Her example proves it doesn’t take fancy stationery to convey your message. You can write on your current paper or cards or use it as a good reason to order new stock from The Gracious Posse here.

As the sun goes down on Mardi Gras, I begin my Lenten practice by telling you how much I appreciate your following The Gracious Posse. I am grateful for your support, inspiration and comments. Alison and I certainly don’t have all the ideas but hope that, through our shared experiences, we can make our lives more interesting and fulfilling.
