Our recent posts on surviving and thriving in an empty nest seem to have struck a chord. We hear that many women have begun turning to their posse once their nests have emptied. I’ve been blessed to be included in several ladies-only events since my youngest flew back to school last week. After holidays filled with family, traditions, obligations and loads of extra work, we’ve earned some time out to reconnect with similarly-situated pseudo-sisters and just relax.
If your posse hasn’t pulled a girls’ night out together yet, here’s one for the RVA girls. Three inspiring women in the health care industry will even provide some food for thought. With substance added to the evening out, you can broaden your mind and your social circle at the same time.
If this one doesn’t suit your schedule, start planning your own ladies night out. Whether for drinks, dinner, a movie or all three, getting together with girlfriends is good for the soul. Especially in the dark depths of frigid winter, you can count on girlfriends to share light and warmth. You sure have earned it.
