Is there ever a good time for a move? With visions of an empty nest dancing in their heads, jBr and her husband casually began to look to down-size their primary home as the RVA market started to heat up last fall. When a mostly one-floor living home in a desirable location unexpectedly came on the market, they crossed their fingers and submitted an offer.
When their bid was actually accepted, the couple shook their heads, took a deep breath and took a look at the calendar. The only time that they could squeeze in a move would be the week between their youngest son’s high school graduation, which would require throwing a final party in their current home, and a long-planned family reunion that they would be hosting for close to 20 folks at their river home. Not the best timing for sure but at least family and some friends would be around to help.
Always the planner, a member of jBr‘s posse, mFn, knew she wouldn’t be in town to offer assistance but delivered a priceless house-warming gift in advance of moving day: an hour of time with Gotcha Covered Errands. mFn has begun using Jane Campell, the owner of Gotcha Covered, for a variety of personal services and knew that Jane could help jBr. Though a bit skeptical, jBr lined Jane up to help unpack her kitchen the day after the move and immediately realized the benefits of employing professional help with a fresh eye. In their scheduled three hours together, jBr‘s kitchen was unpacked and organized so that jBr could focus on other matters.
Turns out that one of those matters was an unscheduled surgery at the end of move-in week. As soon as jBr learned that she would be unable to pick things up during her recovery, she contacted Jane for more help. But for mFn‘s serendipitous gift, jBr and her new house would still be in the weeds.
During one of Jane’s post-surgery sessions with jBr, I had the pleasure to meet Jane and discuss the scope and breadth of Gotcha Covered’s concierge business. With a background in the insurance industry, Jane provides both personal and corporate services for busy professionals. From running errands to organizing events, Jane and her team will do most anything to help
[a]s long as it is legal, ethical and moral.
Jane started Gotcha Covered Errands in 2010 when she was looking for a flexible new career. She knew that she liked working with people and that she has the demeanor to work with folks who are just overwhelmed. Without a business model to follow, she created her own and has become what she likes to call a lifestyle manager. Jane specializes in helping you get stuff done.
How many times have you wished that you knew someone whom you could call to run errands or wait for a repairman for you? What about needing to coordinate all of the vendors for a party? And wouldn’t it be nice to have someone help you unpack and take away your discards to Goodwill?
Gotcha Covered can do all of that and so much more. It’s your personal assistant just when you need one. With reasonable hourly rates, there’s no need to worry. Jane Campbell has Gotcha Covered.
