Do you believe that May Day is finally here? It’s the start of the most beautiful month of the year. From Mother’s Day and graduations to Memorial Day and my peonies in full bloom, I’ll take twelve months of May every year. With end of the school year activities, many parents no doubt feel that May flies by way too fast. Let’s hope that you can find the time to enjoy some of the best events that May 2015 has to offer.

Memorial Day is our national holiday set aside to honor American military who have died serving our country. On Memorial Day the flag should be flown at half-staff from sunrise until noon only, then raised quickly to the top of the staff until sunset.
If you want a meaningful Memorial Day observance, why not come to hear St. James’s Episcopal Church choir sing Mozart’s Requiem on Sunday evening, May 24 at 7 p.m. Several of the posse (fMb, aRm, dWl, kHl, aVfd, vAc, eNk and jPr and I) will be singing this masterwork
to honor our fallen.
