Thanks to a tip from international traveler and posse member, JMcK, we have discovered a new movement perfect for The Gracious Posse: the Lonely Bouquet. Begun by an American living in the Belgian countryside, the point of the Lonely Bouquet is to leave a garden bouquet in a simple jar somewhere for a stranger to find. A large card should be attached letting passersby know that the bouquet can be taken and requesting that the taker leave a message on the Lonely Bouquet’s Facebook page about the find. Sounds like fun, right?
In anticipation of the international movement on Sunday, I have been getting in a little advance practice.
Won’t you help spread some joy? Then upload a picture of your bouquet and where you left it on The Gracious Posse’s Facebook page. Here’s a tag that you can use on your bouquet.
International Lonely Bouquet Day tag
We can’t wait to see what the posse does with Lonely Bouquets. Please keep us posted as you spread the joy, and not only on June 30 but any time that you want to make someone’s day.
